Albert Ayler was undeniably one of the most passionate musicians to spring from the free jazz scene of the 1960's and it's his unparalleled emotional commitment that drives this group. Ayler's folk-like melodies create a cathartic framework for group and solo improvisations that span from lyrical to ecstatic sonic outbursts that teeter on the edge of control.
